Become a TRANSFLO Customer
Every shipment is unique and TRANSFLO will ensure the right processes are in place to transload your business safely and effectively. Contact us and we’ll put you in touch with an expert closest to you.
To get started, you will need to provide your Sales Manager with the following information: TRANSFLO terminal location, origin or destination, commodity, SDS, volume, car type and truck type.
Next Steps
Service Agreement
Once your product and handling requirements are verified, your Sales Manager will contact you with a TRANSFLO solution along with associated pricing, start-up fees and timing.
Apply for Credit
If you have never shipped with TRANSFLO or CSX, you must establish credit. Go to the credit application, select the TRANSFLO Transload option from the Rail Service dropdown, complete all of the remaining required fields and submit the form.
Arrange for Motor Carrier Services
TRANSFLO is motor carrier neutral, but your Sales Manager can give you suggestions if you need them. Your motor carrier must sign and return TRANSFLO’s Motor Carrier Access Agreement (PDF) before they can enter terminal property. (Instructions are included in the document.) Learn more
Get a Price for Rail Portion of Shipment
Contact the originating railroad to get a price for the rail portion of the shipment. For shipments originating on CSX, go to ShipCSX.

Energy Surcharge
For each hour your product requires heat, TRANSFLO generates an Energy Surcharge fee that will appear on each associated invoice. Specifically, for every $0.03 increase in the price of diesel fuel, an additional $0.50/hour surcharge will apply.
The surcharge is indexed on the U.S. No. 2 Diesel Retail Sales by All Sellers, and is based on the January 1, 2007 diesel fuel rate ($2.58/gallon).
The energy surcharge rate changes on the first day of each month, and is based on the prior Monday’s posting of the U.S DOE HDF Price.

Motor Carriers
TRANSFLO is open to all Motor Carriers. All Motor Carriers must comply with our Motor Carrier Operating Provisions, sign TRANSFLO’s Motor Carrier Access Agreement (MCAA), provide TRANSFLO with current insurance, and be registered within the IANA Intermodal Driver Database (IDD).
Motor Carrier Agreement (MCAA)
Motor carriers must sign and return TRANSFLO’s Motor Carrier Access Agreement before entering terminal property. Instructions, insurance requirements, and Operating Provisions are included in the Agreement link below.
Send completed MCAA agreement and copy of insurance to TransfloAccess@transflo.net.
IANA Intermodal Drivers Database (IDD)

Contractors
Before entering TRANSFLO terminal property, all contractors or third party vendors must sign and return TRANSFLO-contractor-terminal-access-agreement. (Instructions are included in the document)
Contractor Inquiries
If you are a new contractor for TRANSFLO, TRANSFLO must receive your company W9 for initial contractor payment setup. Please send your W9 to: TransfloAP@transflo.net
Contractor Payments
To submit an invoice to TRANSFLO for payment please sign up for the CSX Property Portal and submit your invoices electronically. Do not send invoices to the TRANSFLO AP email listed above.
